William spent much of his youth roaming the forests on his grandparents' property and the nearby woods of his childhood home. Forests were (and still are) a place where he could always relax and just be. He would listen to the sounds wash over him and feel the air flow through the trees and watch them wave at him and crackle as they did so. 

He still loves walking through the woods and taking in as much nature time as he can. When it came time to learn casting, natural object casting was a perfect fit.

Finding odd items in nature that not everyone might expect to see in jewelry is something that he's loving right now, and plans to make more very soon. 

For this necklace, he has cast the Queen of Spices: a cardamom seed pod. 

This piece in the Cast by Allegory Gallery collection is one-of-a-kind. It was created during a multiple-day process that includes finding the natural object, preparing it for casting, attaching it to a wax tree, pouring investment, burning out the natural object in a kiln overnight, pouring the molten bronze, and hand-finishing the piece.
