STORY BEHIND THE WINE
The Pfeffingen winery is located in Ungstein, just outside Bad Dürkheim in the Pfalz region. Two generations work here, Jan Eymael and his mother Doris run this top-class winery.Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) is one of their specialities. As in Burgundy, the high content of limestone in the underground gives the wines a maximum of finesse and character and a distinctly fine fruitiness.
The Pfeffingen winery is part of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP) - A German organisation which promotes the country's top wines and estates. It unites 197 of Germany's finest wineries under one banner; offering customers guarantees on quality and yield.
